Gaudí, landscape pinter and one of the first recycling conscious person

It’s well known that Gaudi was an enthusiastic of the Nature. Is one of his best known facets. What probably is not known is that the architect can be considered to be one of the first conscious recycling person, since any type of material was re-using in his works.
The mosaic «trencadís» that adorns the Park Güell and other many Gaudinian buildings were done using defective tiles that the architect was gathering from the nearby factories of ceramics as the Pujol and Bausis.
Another worthy example of mention is the nowadays celebrated chimney of the Mila House ‘La Pedrera’ located in Passeig de Gràcia – Barcelona, which original adornment consists of chunks of Cava bottles. The owners of the house, family Milà, found in that time slightly worthy idea for their status and it seems that for this motive there is only one chimney.
Equally, Gaudí also was what nowadays we call a «landscape painter», that is to say an architect of the landscape. His gardens of the Park Güell and of the Pobla de Lillet are a sample of how he bore the landscape in mind at the moment of designing an order.
